Matt Eckstine is an American roots singer/songwriter based in Savannah, Georgia
Singer-songwriter, Matt Eckstine, grew up in Ohio, and moved to the Savannah, Georgia area more than a decade ago. After years fronting the acclaimed Americana band, The Accomplices, voted “Best Band in Savannah” (2015 and 2016) Matt has ventured into a solo career and has formed a new band Chameleon Brotherhood with fellow Accomplices drummer Stan Ray. Matt's influences run the gamut from the 90's Alt rock of his youth, to the great songwriters in American music, including folk, rock n' roll, blues, country, and soul. In early 2017, he released his self-titled solo debut that has garnered praise from journalists and DJ's across the globe. As a lyricist, Matt strives to craft personal, vulnerable tunes that connect with the listener. "I want to be authentic, positive, and have a good groove", the songwriter attests. Performing over two-hundred shows a year, Eckstine is one of the hardest-working and in-demand musicians in Georgia and the South Carolina Lowcountry. Whether solo or with a backing band, Matt mixes up the set list with songs from his solo record, his time with The Accomplices, Chameleon Brotherhood, and a range of choice covers, striving to keep the show energetic and engaging for the audience.
